About Us

Our Story

Blanket originally launched as an Auckland-based software provider that allowed financial advisers to access domestic insurance products for their clients. Since launching in late 2019, Blanket has grown to support over 300 financial advisers nationwide. Blanket has six exclusive policy wordings for home, contents and vehicle insurance provided by Ando.  Blanket’s financial advisers have grown to provide general insurance support for both personal and business insurance with New Zealand’s top insurers. 

2019
Blanket’s quote platform was launched to the adviser market to allow them to quote and bind domestic insurance for their clients
2020
Blanket’s referral service was released, allowing advisers to refer their clients to Blanket’s domestic insurance advisers to protect their clients’ valuable assets
2021
Blanket launched their exclusive policy wordings, Blanket Standard & Blanket Comprehensive, to the market allowing clients access to two product suites.
2022
With the support of new payment provider NZFS, Blanket launched more flexible payment terms to be able to cater for our clients policies.
2023
Blanket launches full scale broking service to better support our partners and their clients general insurance needs for both personal and commercial insurance.
